It was, in the past, a land of passage and conquest, of struggles between Christians and Arabs at the time of the formation of Portugal, when the capital of the kingdom was Coimbra and the way to the affirmation was the south.

Alentejo, although very rich, has in itself many secrets kept, such as the Alandroal where time almost stopped, Monsaraz, a pearl of Alentejo, as if almost touching the stars, on top of its more than 300m of altitude, dominates the surrounding plain.

To know this region we must feel it, the Alentejo and Vicentine Coastline is one of the best preserved in the whole Europe. Breath-taking beaches, imposing cliffs, biodiversity, an authentic culture and a mild climate make Southwestern Portugal a nature tourism destination.

The landscape runs smoothly between the vineyard and the cereal fields, painted in deep green in the end of winter, or straw-coloured in the end of spring, or ochre in the hot summer months. The unmistakable lines of cork oaks and holm oaks marks the horizon.
